My bf and I had a show at Webster hall and found this hole in the wall to waste some time in. Not a fancy or cute bar but definitely a fun cool place. They played a lot of throw back music and the vibe and people were great. Just unfortunate they closed. Tried to go to them to tonight and they were All boarded up. :(
Words, words, wirds....just stop by and create your own interactive experience. Quintessential NYC dive into the depths of diving in the covid-19 era. Social distancing is required appreciated and accepted. Take-off only so enjoy your dive experience succinctly.
Lots of people have called this a "classic dive bar." Completely inaccurate. Its just a dirty, sticky, and smelly establishment that serves a drop of liquor in their mixed drinks. The bathroom is horrendous. The door handle is falling off and cut my hand. I have never had such a bad drink in my life. It had TWO ingredients and it was still awful. Maybe locals like it because most people will stay away. Or maybe they treat regulars better. The bar close to this one was far nicer and much better drinks. So just go to that one. I love a good dive bar. This is not it.
Bait and switch prices: they charge you more than the posted drink prices and claim they're only for happy hour (which it doesn't say anywhere). Also no vibe or character at all, staff couldn't care less that you're there. So many good bars in this neighborhood, this is not one of them.
It's a classic dive bar. Very cheap drinks, great music, fun and young crowd, and really great dancing in the back. This place does get fairly crowded. Best to order the bucket of beers so you don't have to keep going back to the bar.
This is place is my new favorite spot that I will likely never return to because I live in Brooklyn but I love it all the same.
Dive bar with maybe 10 people inside all living out wildly different scenes while a disco ball, Kentucky derby, and a 90s love story angst playlist by the unofficial dj (friend of the bar back?) goes around getting folks to dance and sing with him, all compete in one small space. Felt like home.
First time here nice diverse spot! Didn't have what I drink at the bar. The bathroom Omgggg disgusting beyond dated and dance wood floor was sunk in a severe trip hazard , the walkway pictures on wall kept falling on customers. Smh'!
Decided to pop in on St Patty's Day 2019 and wow what a great place! The music was bumpin in the front room and back room, the drinks came out fast, despite the huge crowd, and the bouncers were very friendly. Plan to come back very soon!
